Trying to be nice!

I am feeling happy....very happy because finally I am doing something for the bitch and her daughter in my colony. She is the most adorable animal around. She loves everyone around her no matter how they treat her. An year back, she gave birth to 6 puppies on my terrace and I tried to take care of them for sometime but after a few days, when other people in the building started to object I made a small home (behind my building) for her to stay safe with her puppies. As they grew and started to move out of the house only 2 of them survived (a male and a female). The female was the most beautiful of all, she was sparkling white in color but today she looks brown and pale because she is suffering from a disease which later passed on to her mother. Everyday while giving them food and water I had just one thought in my mind how should I help them? Days kept passing and I started getting disappointed, didn't know what to do. A few days back my sister met a girl in her office, an angel on earth, who is now helping us. She consulted a vet and provided us with the medicines for them.Slowly and slowly they are recovering. I wish them speedy recovery and the angel to have the best in life! :) :)

Hachiko - A Dog's Story!

Before I start to write about "Hachiko", I want to thank Shefali Mehrotra for making me watch the movie."धन्याद" आपका बहुत बहुत.... I love watching films that are based on animals but Hachiko just took my heart away. It's a about a dog named Hachiko- an Akita (Dog Breed). He shared an unbreakable bond with his master who found him at railway station. He waited for his master at the railway station for 10 years after his death because he never understood that the Professor was no more. He died waiting. The film has been made excellenty, shot at the same place but if you are a true dog lover you can never get bored coz you can not get your eyes off the dog thus, nothing else matters. Hachiko made me cry while I was watching the film but the fact that it is a true story shattered me completely. I can still feel the pain while I write this post. Hachiko's statue stands in front of the Shibuya Station, Tokyo. He was and is loved by all. Noone in this world can be more loveable and loyal.

Since the film gave a lot of emphasis to the breed I tried to find more about Akita's....

U and Ur Pooch!!

"Dog - a domesticated canid, Canis familiaris, bred in many varieties".

This is the dictionary meaning for a dog and for lot of people it remains to this much only but for many of us including myself a dog means a lot more than just a word. They might come in various breeds, different looks and heights but for a person like me they all are the same whether its a Lhasa, Pommy, Lab or a stray(our very own Indian dogs).

Why do dogs make the best pet? This question came to my mind a lot of times till the time I did not have a dog as a pet myself. I have a Lhasa terrier named Sniffel. It was only after bringing him home I got the answer to my question. Dogs make the best pet because they are nothing less than humans. Humans and dogs only differ in their physical structure apart from that they are the same mentally and emotionally. They think and feel exactly like humans. If we love them they love us back but even if we don't love them still they love us in the same way that is called unconditional love that we can't find these days. These magic collars give us all the love we want with zero expectations.

My love for animals with a little bias towards dogs has increased since the time Sniffel came into my life. Love them, care for them, play with them and they will be your best pals.
